What does a newbie get in any new job. The answer is simple, “The work nobody else will touch” In this job it happens to be the computers that come from a specific California road repair company. Well Computer are nice an warm, a sharp contrast to the environments these computers live. These computer tend to live in trailers or tents usually in a field.
Here is the story, quite a touching story of two roaches. Yes I said Roaches.
Rodney roach and Ronda roach happened to be walking in a nice field one day. The weather started to get cold. Rodney and Ronda started looking for a warm place to live. After what seamed to them like a lifetime, they came to the promised city of Cyrix. A city a fun, love and warmth, built in beige and ivory, the food ran plentiful and the air was always warm and inviting.
Inside this Ivory heaven it was dark and romantic. This led the marriage of Rodney and Ronda after a giant party of coffee, donuts and god know what else was laying nearby. The two love birds (err roaches) moved into the “ivory tower”. Soon Ronda was expecting a new bundle of joy. Well maybe closer to 20,000 bundles of joy.
This family took residence in this dark warm “ivory tower”. This was a happy time, life was a dream. But one day the dream ended, the “ivory tower” stopped making noise and lost it’s heat. There was a shaking and rumbling as the “ivory tower” started to move it was lifted up into the sky. The 20,000 children were scared, but Rodney roach told them to be calm and wait it out after all they were still protected in there dark tower. The walls of the “ivory tower” were soon torn away, letting in the scary light. The 20,000 children panicked and ran from the tower, running in thousands of directions. Running and Running to avoid the horrible evil light.
These giants where yelling and screaming, and shoes were comming down killing and smashing their brothers. It was horrible, Many escaped, many died. But that was the day the “Ivory Tower” Fell.
Ironically that was the same day my manager had her first mental breakdown. And an exterminator made a mint off fumigating the building.
