This guy should have met Di-electric guy, between both of them, they might have come up with a better solution in both cases.
Why this guy did this, or his thinking are a mystery to me. but... when I saw the machine I immediately wanted to know why. So he explained.
He explained that if he moved his case all his card would jiggle out and the computer would stop working until he reseated all the cards. This is what we call card creep, usually due to improper mounting of a motherboard, or perhaps a cheap case that does not "quite" meet size/shape specs. He explained that he was tired of it, so he JB welded the cards into place.

Not by the bracket. No. He applied 1 half of the JB weld IN the PCI slot, and the other half he coated on the card. Permanently Welding the card into the slot. For those who do not know what JB weld is, it's a VERY strong epoxy, great for bonding pretty much anything. Anything but pci cards, It very quickly kills them.
